Praying in the Valley

Our Father which art in Heaven
Blessed be your name.
When everything around us passes away
You always remain the same.
Continue to walk with us through the valley
Shield us from deaths evil path.
Put within our hearts to do none but good,
Saved from your fiery wrath.
In our darkest moments we quake,
With passion chase away the gray clouds.
Melt the burdens we bear with the sun,
That our voices may sing aloud.
Enslave our violent intentions
With the chains of understanding and faith.
And when either seem to fade
Cover our tongues in your amazing grace.
The future is full of hope.
The future promises a better day.
But right now our future knowingly and openly sins,
And consumes drugs, violence, and much more this present day.
Mighty are we clay that mirror
A just and compassionate king.
He which created the Heavens and Earth
Over much he gave us rule of many things.
May the tears that fall from your all seeing eye
Rinse away the filth of our hearts.
May your hand which guides and provides for your people
In haste mend our torn and shattered hearts.
Watch over us as we slumber,
With great youth and wisdom let us rise again.
Heal the broken, walk with the lost,
Comfort they whom every day are forgotten.
For this in Jesus? name? Amen.
