Something Like M.J.
by Angelo Head
(Colorado, USA)
It's amazing how one person,
One boy, one man can move the world.
And in the end, many shed a tear
From the old to little girls.
In memory of his history,
His story is told to reminisce of what he gave us.
Shattering barriers with his moves and ideas with his voice,
Like many who stood against riding in the backs of buses.
From ABC?s to thrills,
He showed us a world we didn't know.
Past the flaws and facades to the forgotten
Still he remained a hero.
But despite his fortune and fame,
It was time for M.J. to go.
Through this, by His greatness
A lesson to me God would soon show.
See, someone much more greater and powerful
Humbled himself to live on Earth.
Holy and majestic a special
Virgin by Mary gave birth.
Wrapped in flesh, he listened and taught
Yet met endlessly with rejection.
He came not to sing,
Not to rule,
Not for show,
But to give us a chance at salvation.
Children, his chosen children
Ever so challenged by sin.
So he came to find a way
To give us a fighting chance to be free again.
But for us to be free,
He had to pay the ultimate price.
Greater than money, fame, or pleasure
The only measure was to give his very life.
After dying then rising again,
Still they cursed him not knowing who he was.
To all who read this I'm pleased to announce
That this man?s name is Jesus.
The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords,
The one who was, has, and is to come.
He died for you so that you could live free,
And in time could return back home.
My prayer is that you?ll accept him in your heart
And live for him while you still have time.
Because no one should be uncertain,
Fearful or even question if they?ll be fine.
May God accept the soul
Of our beloved M.J.
And may you be blessed,
Protected and prosper another day.
